Our Trip to Newcastle Fire Station for Fire & Rescue NSW Open Day

Who visited a fire station today for Fire & Rescue NSW Open Day?

We stopped by 260 Newcastle station and checked out the many fire trucks on display.

There were fire and rescue trucks, a ladder unit and a hazardous materials truck.

My daughter even got to have a try of the firehose.

This was followed by a tour of the communications centre, one of two centres in NSW. From here, firefighters respond to emergency calls from throughout the state.

We left with a lovely present of a kids activity book and a LEGO fire truck mini figure.

Thanks to the firefighters for hosting a great community event.
