It was a night of fun, fashion and friends and fundraising as more than forty women enjoyed The Mummy Project Style Event Fundraiser at Charlestown Square. (All proceeds from the event went to the NICU at John Hunter Children’s Hospital).
The event was presented by Charlestown Square Stylist, Natalie Baker who provided expert commentary to a parade of models.
Katie, Hayley and Libby showcased a range of spring and summer fashion including casual attire, beachwear and some dressier outfits for work, spring racing and the holiday season.
Fashions were chosen from a variety retailers at Charlestown Square including Target, Katies, Portmans, Jacqui E, Country Road, Review,Wittner, Sheike, French Connection and Myer.
Natalie introduced the latest in season styles, colours and provided valuable fashion advice on how to wear key items. She selected clothes and accessories which catered to every budget, style and shape.
A mum herself, Natalie understands how hard it can be to dress well when you have kids. As she mentioned, even if you find yourself constantly wearing jeans, t-shirt and flats, choose flattering cuts and colours for your jeans and t-shirts. She also highlighted trendy new-season flats, perfect for those who need to run after little ones.
The beautiful models were a range of body shapes and ages and brought the fashion to life. As one guest mentioned, “Clothes look so different on a rack and that’s why I have so many problems shopping. Actually seeing it being worn makes such a difference.” Another guest appreciated Natalie’s style tips and why certain styles look good for different body types.
At the conclusion of workshop, Natalie invited guests to stay and peruse through racks of clothing at the Style Centre in which she had selected her top fashion picks.
Inspired by the clothes that they had seen, some guests took the opportunity to go shopping, armed with Natalie’s list of clothes worn by the models.
Others took the opportunity to ask Natalie specific style questions and also enquire about her free and paid style sessions.
It was a fabulous night especially considering that $1100 was raised for the NICU at John Hunter Children’s Hospital.
Thank you to Charlestown Square for their generous support of this event.
