As someone who struggles with lost socks, I love this whimsical tale written by local author Susan Whelan. It’s wonderful in explaining where they go. Instead of the most likely suspect, a puppy named Max, kids will love learning what really happens to these missing socks.
The culprits are adorable little fairies beautifully drawn by Gwynneth Jones who use them in a variety of ways. The odd socks are used as a sleeping bag, shower curtain, toboggan and even a parachute. It’s wonderful to see the beautiful drawings bring this story to life.
It’s a lovely book for kids who believe in fairies. After reading this book, kids will be searching around their house looking for fairies.
